Can you explain your PhD in the pub?
PubhD is monthly event bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines. The concept originated in Nottingham with the first ever event taking place January 22, 2014, and is spreading across UK cities like wild fire.
At each event, three researchers from any academic discipline explain their work to an audience in a pub in exchange for a pint or two. The talks are at a “pub level” – the idea is that talks should be accessible to everyone in the audience (and they likely know very little about your topic). Each talk follows a simple format of a short talk followed by a period of question and answer.
